Description

Help us connect surplus food with the charities that need it, every day.

About OzHarvest:

OzHarvest is a leading food rescue organisation on a mission to ‘Nourish our Country’ by stopping good food from going to waste and delivering it to charities that help feed people in need. Through our education programs and our advocacy work, we hope to inspire others to change behaviour and help reach the national target of halving food waste by 2030.

About the Role:

OzHarvest Link is our digital platform. It connects food recipient agencies directly with food donor stores so food can be rescued on the days a Yellow Van doesn’t collect. As the network grows across the country, we need someone to keep it running smoothly.

As OzHarvest Link Network Coordinator, you’ll make sure agencies and stores on the platform work

well together. You’ll be part of one national team in National Operations, reporting to the National Food Rescue Engagement Manager. The team works from a shared queue and goes where demand is. This is a desk-based role with occasional travel.

This is a full-time and remote fixed-term 12-month contract.

What You’ll Do:

  • Keep the network covered. Keep collection schedules accurate, fill gaps by matching agencies to open store slots, approve agency applications, and follow up missed collections and inactive agencies.
  • Resolve issues. Manage the shared Link queue and support inbox, sort out missed collections, closures and dock disputes, and help agencies use the platform with confidence.
  • Keep it compliant and accurate. Make sure every agency has signed the right terms and meets compliance requirements, reinforce food safety and WHS guidance, and keep collection data complete for reporting to donor partners.
  • Build store relationships. Help store managers understand what Link means for their dock, and pass agency feedback back to improve donation processes.
  • Support rollout. Help the Food Rescue Project Lead onboard each new wave, then take ownership of each state’s network once it goes live.
  • Make it better. Log platform issues, help test changes, keep Help & Resources content current and document processes as the program grows.

About You:

You’re a calm, practical problem-solver who sees things through. You’re patient and respectful with

charity partners, many of which are run by volunteers. You’ll bring:

  • Experience in customer service, account management or queue/ticket management, ideally in a high-volume environment
  • A proven ability to manage a busy queue of requests and resolve issues fully
  • Clear, plain-English writing and phone skills, including with people with varied digital skills
  • Experience resolving conflict between stakeholders with competing needs
  • Experience building relationships with community organisations or charities
  • Strong attention to data accuracy and intermediate Excel skills
  • Confidence learning new platforms and using AI tools
  • The ability to work independently and remotely and manage your own time
  • A current, valid Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)

It would be great if you also have experience in food rescue, the not-for-profit sector or community

services. An understanding of supermarket or retail operations, CRM or logistics platforms (e.g. Crittah, Salesforce) or food safety and WHS requirements would also help. Most of all, you’ll share our commitment to OzHarvest’s purpose and values.

What’s In it for You:

At OzHarvest, we know that doing meaningful work starts with looking after our people. Enjoy benefits including salary packaging, an additional Self-Care Day each year, a day of Birthday Leave to celebrate your special day, and Gratitude Leave between Christmas and New Year so you can recharge and spend time with loved ones.

To Apply:

Please complete the online application process and attach your CV along with a cover letter that includes a brief message explaining “Why you would like to work at OzHarvest, and why this role?” (creativity encouraged!)

Please note that only applications with a cover letter addressing the question above will be shortlisted.

Applications will close on November 23.
