About the Role

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will work alongside talented consultants, architects, engineers and client stakeholders to design, implement, modernise and support secure cloud platforms.

You will play a key role in delivering cloud migration, infrastructure automation, hybrid cloud solutions and operational excellence across a range of enterprise clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

Cloud Engineering & Migration

  • Lead and support end-to-end migrations from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure.
  • Assess workloads and recommend migration approaches including rehosting, replatforming and modernisation.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure and resilient Azure solutions.
  • Support hybrid cloud and cloud-native architectures.

Infrastructure & Platform Services

  • Build, deploy and manage Azure Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions.
  • Manage Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy.
  • Support virtualisation platforms and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.

DevOps & Automation

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and other automation tools.
  • Automate provisioning, deployment, monitoring and operational processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across client environments.

Networking & Security

  • Design and support Azure networking solutions including VNets, VPNs, ExpressRoute and connectivity services.
  • Implement identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC.
  • Apply cloud security best practices and governance controls.
  • Support compliance, monitoring and operational security initiatives.

Skills & Experience We’re Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including IaaS, PaaS and Entra ID.
  • Experience delivering cloud migration and modernisation projects within enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code tools, particularly Terraform.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development practices.
  • Solid Windows Server administration experience.
  • Networking expertise across both traditional and cloud environments.
  • Experience implementing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
  • Scripting and automation experience, ideally using PowerShell.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within agile delivery teams.
  • Experience working with large Australian enterprises and complex technology environments.
