Summary:
As a Water Servicing Coordinator, you will play a key role in the planning, delivery, and successful completion of projects across our Water Servicing business. You’ll work closely with clients, authorities, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
In addition to leading projects, you will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, support business development initiatives, and promote a positive and collaborative team culture.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning, delivery, and close-out of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate project resources, including internal teams, contractors, and specialist consultants.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasting, invoicing, and variation management.
- Liaise with Sydney Water, utility authorities, local councils, and regulatory agencies to obtain approvals.
- Undertake Water Servicing Coordinator duties, including site supervision, inspections, and attendance at project meetings.
- Prepare and review technical reports, engineering designs, tender documentation, and project deliverables.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders, fostering strong and lasting relationships.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and development support to junior team members.
- Prepare project progress reports and maintain project programs and budget updates.
- Support business development activities, proposals, and client engagement opportunities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, systems development, and best-practice project delivery.
- Promote and adhere to Orion Consulting’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and company values.
Selection Criteria:
- Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 5 to 10 years’ experience within the civil infrastructure or water servicing industry.
- Sydney Water accreditation as a Competent Designer with a minimum C1 accreditation level.
- Strong understanding of Sydney Water approval pathways, standards, and WSC systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and project budgeting experience.
