Your Role
- Territory is Central, East, South Auckland and Coromandel area.
- Visit customers as per call cycle schedule and ensure optimum usage of your time
- Place re-orders with individual retailers as required to optimize stock levels and recommend new line opportunities
- Provide product knowledge and current offers, promotions, negotiations with stores
- Merchandise stock to ensure product is presented in the best light to the consumer and ensuring under and over stocks are kept to a minimum
- Occasional building of promotional displays and performing store relays
- Follow-up contact and correct paper work procedure with stores to ensure credits are kept to a minimum
- Report competitive new lines or launched activities
- Prospect new clients that are within the parameters of Oriental Merchant customer profile
- Assist with Key Account head office duties in order to further develop your territory such as new product presentations, ticket listings, pricing anomalies, ranging
- Occasional assistance or running of in-store demonstrations to promote OM products
- Assist with trade displays (you will be initially assisted by other OM staff and then you may be on your own for small trade displays)
- Maintain strong knowledge of OM products and competitors’ products
About You
- Full NZ working rights
- Current New Zealand driver’s license
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- 2+ years experience in the FMCG industry
- Able to build and maintain great relationships with stores and buyers.
- Be passionate about Asian food.
- Highly organised.
- Have excellent numeracy skills.
- Be willing to lend a hand where required and have a high initiative in certain circumstances.
- Effectively manage your territory (Central, East, South Auckland and Coromandel area)
