Take your residential real estate career into property investment and acquisitions, without weekend inspections or auctions.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded residential real estate professional to join our growing property investment business. This role is ideally suited to someone with 2 + years of residential property sales experience who wants to use their market knowledge, client skills and commercial judgement in a Monday to Friday role.
You will identify quality property opportunities, engage with investors and industry professionals, and support acquisitions from initial assessment through to contract, without the weekend open homes and auction commitments of traditional residential sales.
About the Role
As a Property Investment & Acquisitions Consultant, you will research the Australian property market, identify potential investment opportunities and support the acquisition process from initial assessment through to contract preparation.
Your residential real estate experience will be central to your success. You already understand property, buyers, market conditions, negotiation and the transaction process. This role gives you the opportunity to apply those skills in the wholesale property investment space.
You will work Monday to Friday with investors, agents, developers, builders, landowners and other industry stakeholders to assess opportunities, provide clear market insights and progress successful acquisitions.
Responsibilities
Property Research & Acquisition
- Research and analyse the Australian residential property market to identify investment opportunities, trends and potential risks.
- Identify and assess properties that align with client investment objectives and requirements
- Present these opportunities to potential clients
- Use your real estate knowledge to assess property suitability, location, market demand and investment potential.
- Analyse property and market data to support investment and acquisition decisions.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, property values and emerging markets.
- Monitor property stock, availability and market movements.
Investor & Client Engagement
- Engage with prospective investors to understand their goals, preferences and investment requirements.
- Build strong relationships and use a consultative approach to understand client objectives and identify suitable opportunities.
- Present suitable property opportunities and provide clear, data-driven market insights.
- Confidently discuss property opportunities, market conditions and investment considerations with clients and stakeholders.
Real Estate Relationships & Negotiation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, landowners, developers, builders, investors and other key real estate stakeholders.
- Identify and develop new property and acquisition opportunities.
- Use your residential sales and negotiation experience to support strong commercial outcomes.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to progress acquisitions.
Maintain clear and responsive communication throughout the acquisition process.
- Acquisition & Administration
- Prepare and manage Reservation Forms, Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and other pre-contract documentation.
- Coordinate the acquisition process from initial opportunity through to contract preparation.
- Support the transaction process and ensure opportunities progress efficiently through each stage.
- Assist in preparing presentations and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and client outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is completed efficiently and accurately.
Work towards and consistently achieve agreed KPIs and sales targets.
About You
You are an experienced residential real estate professional who enjoys property, people and negotiation, but is ready to move beyond weekend inspections, auctions and the traditional residential sales cycle.
- Ideally, you will have experience in one of the following areas:
- Residential Real Estate Sales Consultant
- Senior Sales Consultant
- Property Investment Advisor
- Buyer’s Agent / Buyer Advocate
- Project Sales Consultant
- Property Acquisitions Specialist
Business Development Manager within the property industry
- Other closely related residential real estate or property roles
- You will also bring:
- Ideally 2+ years’ experience in residential real estate sales or a closely related property role.
- A strong understanding of the Australian residential property market and transaction process.
- Confidence engaging with investors, buyers, agents, developers, builders and other industry stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation and commercial skills.
- The ability to interpret property and market information and turn it into practical recommendations.
- A results-driven mindset and experience working towards KPIs or sales targets.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple opportunities through each stage of the process.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to communicate with clients and industry professionals.
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using CRM systems and property-related platforms will be highly regarded.
Residential real estate experience is essential. You do not need to come from a traditional analyst background. What matters most is that you understand property, clients and the real estate transaction process, and can use that knowledge to identify and progress quality opportunities.
