What’s the role like?

Working as a Property Specialist, you’ll be helping homeowners find the right real estate agent to help them sell their home. You’ll be taking the time to really get to know our customers and understand what they want. Using our technology and knowledge of the market, our Property Specialists provide expert recommendations and advice on selecting an agent and personal support through the sales process.

OpenAgent works with great agents to get the best results for homeowners. Finding the top agents and building a real partnership with them is what makes the team so successful.

We serve the whole of Australia which makes the phone our channel of choice. Our Property Specialists typically speak to 20-30 customers in a day using our integrated CRM and telephony system.

We’re fully remote and we’re proud of the work-from-home culture we have developed. We provide the technology, training, and ongoing support to make it feel like you’re part of the team, wherever your home office may be.

Skills and Experience

  • Have you bought or sold property? Tell us about it! (Include your story in your cover letter or resume.)
  • Communication is key – you’re a natural talker and particularly good at listening and asking great questions to best understand our customers.
  • Attention to detail – making detailed recommendations to customers and thorough introductions to agents.
  • Being a customer hero – leaving nothing to chance and constantly searching for ways to improve the experience.
  • Problem solving – Taking the time to learn about your customer with an outcome-focused solution.
  • Empathetic and open-minded to the difficult decision and process of selling property.
  • A passion for property with an appreciation for our customers’ largest asset.
  • Experience working from home – a stable internet connection and a suitable environment for working from home are essential.

What your first 90 days look like

  • Comprehensive induction training comprising a variety of different teaching techniques, initially delivered remotely.
  • Time with our most experienced team members to observe and ask lots of questions.
  • Regular check-ins, coaching, and feedback to get you off to the right start and give you a safe environment to practice your skills.
  • Introductions to the different functions of the business and the leadership team.
  • The introduction of targets and performance metrics as your knowledge and confidence grow.
