What the Role Involves

With training and support from our team, you will assist participants to maintain their independence, build confidence, and achieve their individual goals.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

• Support participants with daily living activities, household tasks, and meal preparation.
• Assist with personal care, including showering, dressing, and hygiene, while maintaining dignity and respect.
• Facilitate community access, helping participants attend appointments, social events, and recreational activities.
• Learn about and implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans to understand and support participants with complex needs.
• Write clear and accurate progress notes and communicate effectively with families and care teams.
• Encourage participants to make their own choices, develop independence, and participate in activities that are meaningful to them.

Requirements to Get Started

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our participants, you will need to hold, or be willing to obtain, the following standard industry requirements:

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance & Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• NDIS Worker Orientation & Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals modules
• Current First Aid & CPR Certification
• A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
• Medication competency, or a willingness to complete the required training
