Summary:

The Executive Corporate Services is responsible for providing executive leadership, governance and strategic oversight of NBY’s corporate services portfolio. The role ensures the organisation has effective people, systems, processes, infrastructure, risk, compliance and administrative functions to support the successful delivery of NBY’s strategic, cultural, community and commercial objectives.

The position leads organisational capability, business improvement and operational effectiveness across the Yawuru Corporate Group, ensuring the organisation’s internal systems and corporate infrastructure are scalable, compliant, culturally aligned and fit for purpose.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Executive Corporate Services works collaboratively with the CEO and Executive Team to strengthen organisational performance, manage enterprise risks and drive continuous improvement across all business operations

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Leading organisational strategic planning and policy development.
• Providing high-level strategic advice to the CEO, Board and Executive Team.
• Driving research projects that inform advocacy, investment and decision-making.
• Developing policy positions, submissions and advocacy strategies.
• Building and maintaining influential relationships across government, academia, industry and the Aboriginal community-controlled sector.
• Identifying emerging policy, legislative and funding opportunities.
• Leading strategic partnerships that advance community-led development and economic opportunities.
• Managing strategic projects, budgets and reporting requirements.
• Leading and mentoring a small team while strengthening organisational capability in policy, strategy and impact measurement.

Essential Selection Criteria

1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Human Resources, Governance or a related discipline.
2. Significant senior leadership experience overseeing corporate services, including governance, risk, compliance, HR, WHS and organisational systems.
3. Proven capability in strategic planning, organisational development, business improvement and change management.
4. Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and team leadership skills.
5. Sound understanding of governance, risk and legislative compliance requirements.
6. Demonstrated integrity, accountability and commitment to NBY’s vision, values and cultural framework

Desirable Selection Criteria

1. Experience working within Aboriginal organisations, Native Title organisations or community-controlled entities.
2. Knowledge of Aboriginal cultural governance and community development frameworks.
3. Experience supporting Boards, committees and governance structures.
4. Experience overseeing digital transformation, organisational systems or business improvement programs.
