About the Role
The Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) arranges State Final Examinations for nursing graduates. Graduates must pass the examination before they can be registered to practise. Exams happen three times a year; March, July, and November, on the campuses of tertiary education providers offering Nursing Education throughout Aotearoa. The examinations are digital, run online using a computer app installed on the campus computer suites. The examinations are held over a two-day period (Tuesday, and Wednesday), and may include evenings when candidate numbers require it.
We are currently seeking invigilators for 19 November 2024. The invigilator role could become an ongoing role for future exams.
NCNZ maintains a pool of invigilators who are responsible for supporting the smooth running of the examinations. Each examination is managed at each campus by a Chief Invigilator. The invigilator role is not a one-off. NCNZ will provide full training on the examination process, including the digital exam app. The role is paid on a casual basis by timesheet, with a rate of $38ph up to a maximum $300 pd.
Key tasks:
* welcome candidates and check their identity
* support candidates to log on to the exam app if required
* supervise the room during the exam
* work with NCNZ to resolve any exam-day issues.
Key skills/experience:
* customer service/support (experience as an exam supervisor or similar an advantage)
* good attention to detail, fairly practical
* high level of personal integrity
* reasonable level of basic digital literacy (e.g using a laptop/desktop (not just an iPad), Wi-Fi, email, simple Word, Zoom/TEAMS meetings).
You must not have a connection to anyone involved in nurse education or likely to sit the exam.
If interested please reply with your name, contact details, and CV. We will email you an Expression of Interest form to complete.
