Summary:

We are seeking motivated Interns/Placement Students to join our legal team in Darwin, Northern Territory. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the legal industry, supporting our team in various tasks while developing your professional skills. As an intern, you will play a vital role in assisting with legal research, documentation, and client interactions, contributing to the overall success of our firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting legal research and analysis on various cases and legal issues.
  • Support the preparation and drafting of legal documents, including contracts and briefs.
  • Attend client meetings and take notes to ensure accurate documentation of discussions.
  • Collaborate with legal professionals to gather information and prepare case files.
  • Maintain and organise case files and legal documentation in accordance with firm policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and client service.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Law or a related field.
  • Previous internship experience in a legal environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
