We are the largest independently owned radiology clinic on the Sunshine Coast. Established in 2009 and Radiologist-owned, we are committed to delivering high-quality imaging and patient-focused care by remaining at the forefront of new imaging techniques to benefit our doctors, referrers, and patients.

We provide a comprehensive range of imaging and procedural services including MRI, PET/CT, CT, SPECT/CT, breast imaging, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, BMD, dental imaging, and general x-ray. In July 2024 we introduced a Digital PET/CT to the Sunshine Coast and PET imaging services to the Noosa Region.

About the Opportunity

With the continued growth in our imaging services, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate who is keen to build a career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience across PET/CT and SPECT/CT in a supportive and innovative environment, working alongside experienced technologists, radiologists and our broader imaging team.

Please note this role will be based primarily at our Noosa practice, with some time also spent working at our Gympie site to support imaging services across the region. Reliable transport between sites will be required.

This is a permanent full-time role. To be successful, you will be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes, and consider yourself to be highly accountable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing Nuclear Medicine procedures utilising PET and SPECT/CT cameras under appropriate supervision
  • Working alongside all modalities as part of the nuclear medicine team
  • Performing Nuclear Medicine work to a high standard in accordance with Australian standards
  • Monitoring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation safety protocols
  • Accurately reading and interpreting referrals and ensuring all documentation is completed correctly for each examination
  • Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with our radiologists, radiographers, sonographers, reception team and patients

 

About You

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiation (Nuclear Medicine), or equivalent, completed or nearing completion
  • Eligible for current AHPRA registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Eligible for, or current, QLD Radiation Use Licence
  • Passionate about providing an outstanding service to our patients
  • Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Willingness to travel and work across both our Noosa and Gympie sites
  • Current driver’s licence and Australian working rights
