As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an Operations Manager to support our manufacturing and production operations across South East Queensland.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on operational leader who is passionate about safety, productivity, quality and developing high-performing teams.

Your Role

As Operations Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing daily production activities, ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, developing and communicating daily objectives to the production team.
• Promoting a strong safety culture by ensuring equipment is operated safely and employees are appropriately trained.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, efficiency and error reduction.
• Coordinating production activities to meet customer orders, delivery schedules and business requirements.
• Interpreting customer orders and technical drawings to ensure products are manufactured to exact specifications.
• Overseeing the operation of machinery used in the manufacture of metal roofing and building products.
• Monitoring production outputs, product quality and operational performance.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, minimise waste and optimise resources.
• Working collaboratively with sales, customer service, warehouse and transport teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
• Building a positive, accountable and high-performing team environment.

About You

You are an experienced operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment. You enjoy being hands-on, leading from the front and empowering your team to achieve strong operational results.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience leading and supervising teams within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment or someone working in the industry wanting to take the next step up!
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery operation and production planning.
• A demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Experience driving continuous improvement, productivity and quality outcomes.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining operational standards.
• A practical, solutions-focused mindset and the confidence to take ownership and make decisions.
• A strong customer focus and the ability to work collaboratively across the business.

Experience in metal roofing, steel processing, building materials or a related industry will be highly regarded.
