As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a driven, hands-on Branch Manager to lead our team, oversee daily operations and help drive the next stage of our growth across South East Queensland.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day running of a branch, developing people and building strong customer relationships. We are looking for someone who leads from the front, takes ownership and is prepared to roll up their sleeves to get things done.

The Role

As Branch Manager, you will take ownership of the overall performance of the branch, balancing hands-on operational leadership with people development, customer service and commercial results.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Hands-on leadership: Leading from the front and actively supporting the team across customer service, production, warehouse operations and daily branch activities as required.
• People leadership and development: Recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching and developing a high-performing, accountable team.
• Daily operations: Overseeing production output, order fulfilment, inventory, procurement, supply chain and delivery scheduling to ensure the branch operates efficiently.
• Safety leadership: Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, policies and procedures.
• Customer service excellence: Building strong customer relationships, resolving issues and ensuring customers receive quality products and reliable service.
• Business growth: Identifying opportunities to grow sales, strengthen our market presence and expand our customer base.
• Commercial performance: Taking ownership of branch sales, profitability, costs, productivity and operational performance.
• Continuous improvement: Identifying practical ways to improve processes, reduce errors, minimise waste and improve efficiency.
• Team collaboration: Working closely with the Business Development Manager and wider business to develop new opportunities while retaining and growing existing customer relationships.
• Leading through growth: Building the capability, culture and operational foundations needed to support the continued growth and success of the branch.

About You

You are a practical, commercially minded leader who enjoys being on the floor with your team rather than managing solely from behind a desk.

You understand that a successful branch requires strong leadership, safe and efficient operations, excellent customer service and a team that takes pride in what it does.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in a Branch Manager, Operations Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience in roofing, metal processing, building supplies or a related industry will be highly regarded.
• A hands-on leadership style, with the ability and willingness to get involved in daily operations when required.
• Strong people management skills and a genuine passion for coaching and developing employees.
• A solid understanding of production, warehouse operations, inventory management and delivery coordination.
• Commercial awareness, including experience managing sales targets, costs, profitability and operational performance.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• The ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused mindset, with the initiative to identify opportunities and drive results.
