Purpose

Responsible for all activities relating to the Cafe Front-of-House in the Cafe managements absence.

Responsibility & Key Accountabilities.

Front of House

• Ensure seamless and efficient operations of all FOH activities.

• Oversee the completion of daily routines as outlined in the Operations Manual, maintaining company standards.

• Identify opportunities for improving FOH systems, processes, and equipment, recommending enhancements where necessary.

Customer Service

• Maintain a welcoming, friendly, and vibrant atmosphere at all times.

• Ensure the highest standards of customer service are delivered, aligning with the Operations Manual.

• Ensure food and beverages are accurately prepared and served within a maximum of ten minutes from the order.

• Proactively promote and sell cafe products to enhance sales.

• Work closely with the Head Chef to gather and provide feedback on customer satisfaction and service quality.

Food Quality & Safety

• Guarantee the highest quality and presentation of all food and beverages before they reach the customer.

• Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards by all FOH staff.

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Maintain a clean and well-organized FOH environment at all times.

• Ensure cleaning and maintenance schedules are followed consistently and in accordance with company standards.

• Report any required repairs or maintenance to the Café Service Manager promptly.

Administration

• Assist with timely ordering of FOH supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels and cost-effectiveness.

• Support monthly stock takes of beverages.

• Help maintain and update the cafe’s operating manuals as required by the Café Service Manager.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support kitchen staff as needed during busy periods or when staffing levels require it.

• Take initiative to engage in other roles within Ngāti Awa Tourism to provide broader support for company activities.

• Undertake additional duties or projects as requested by the Operations Manager, contributing to overall company goals and objectives.
