At Newdawn Support Services, we don’t just provide support — we empower people to live with dignity, independence, and connection. We are a
values-driven, client-focused NDIS provider supporting individuals living with disability, mental health challenges, complex needs, and those reintegrating
into community life. We’re growing our Brisbane North / Moreton Bay team and looking for passionate, reliable Disability Support Workers to join us in Morayfield and surrounding areas.
About the Role
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
As a Support Worker with Newdawn, you’ll work directly with participants in their homes and communities, helping

·Administer medication in accordance with care plans
·Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support where required
·Act as an advocate for participants with third parties
·Assist with budgeting and financial management tasks (e.g., shopping)
·Write professional, accurate case notes at the end of each shift
Key Responsibilities
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

·Provide financial management support as required
Documentation & Collaboration
(20%)
·Maintain accurate, timely case notes using Newdawn’s ICT systems
·Participate in handovers, team meetings, and report writing
·Collaborate with internal teams, families, carers, and external stakeholders
·Contribute to service delivery improvements and quality initiatives

·Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card — QLD)
·Current First Aid & CPR certification
·Valid Queensland Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
·Commitment to ongoing roster availability and consistency — we need team members who are
dependable and can maintain regular shifts
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills
·Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
·Genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities and complex needs
Desirable
·Experience in SIL (Supported Independent Living) environments
·Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours or dual diagnoses
