Mō tēnei tūranga mahi / The Opportunity:
This is a full-time – permanent Tutor opportunity based
at our Manukau campus and the purpose is to provide our rangatahi and learners
with an innovative, motivational, supportive and quality learning experience.
You will be responsible to create assessments, teach
and mark the Level 2 New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Studies – Uniform
Services.
Classes are delivered on campus in the classroom and
physical training, linked to the learning takes place outside. Key to this
role is to equip them with a range of learning and activities which will
lead them to a career with the defence force.
Ko koe tēnei | About you:
- Tertiary
qualified at level 3 or above in Sports, Youth or similar
- Understanding
of Te Reo
- Passionate about fitness, physically fit as you will be executing
drills
- Previous
teaching, marking, development and mentoring or coaching experience within
the Youth space
- Passionate
about developing and mentoring youth
- Has
confidence and experience to develop engaging classroom activities
- New
Zealand Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education Level 5 is
preferred or willingness to work towards it or possess US 4098
- Strong
IT Skills – using CRMs, Microsoft Suite at an intermediate level
- Ex –
sport, defence force, police, youth tutor or similar background
