Disability Support Worker – SIL (North Richmond Area)
New Haven Farm Home is a highly regarded provider of
Supported Independent Living (SIL) services, with a strong and long-standing
reputation in the Hawkesbury community for delivering quality, person-centred
support.
We are currently seeking passionate and reliable Disability
Support Workers to provide support to a client who has recently transitioned
from a family home into supported living.
We are specifically seeking reliable and committed
Disability Support Workers who are available to work wrap shifts (12 active
hours).
Availability for these shifts is essential.
Shift Pattern:
- Afternoon 2:00pm – 10:00pm + Sleepover 10pm –
6am + Morning 6:00am – 10:00am
Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster,
including weekends, is required.
Sleepover shifts are typically uninterrupted, though support
may be required if the client wakes. These shifts are paid in accordance with
SCHADS Award conditions.
The position will begin as a casual role with the intention to
be able to offer a regular and consistent roster as well as the opportunity to transition
to permanent part-time after successful completion of probation (typically 3–6
months).
About the Role
This is a SIL support model providing structured daily support across a consistent roster.
The client:
- Is non-verbal
- Is mobile with the use of a walking frame
- Can be transported in a standard vehicle
- Enjoys arts and crafts and accessing the community
The client requires:
- Full assistance with personal care and daily living activities
- Support to participate in meaningful activities and outings
At times, the client may:
- Become concerned in loud or busy environments
- Be unsettled by unfamiliar individuals or situations
This role will suit someone who is patient, calm, observant, and responsive, with a genuine passion for supporting individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.

About You
We are looking for staff who:
- Are reliable and committed with availability to work the required wrap shifts
- Have a genuine passion for the disability sector
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Are confident supporting high personal care needs
Essential Requirements
- Current Driver’s Licence
- First Aid & CPR Certificate (current)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Australian working rights
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in Disability, Aged Care, or Health (highly regarded)
