The Role – A Day in the Life

As a SIL Support Worker, you aren’t just ticking boxes – you are a coach, a companion, and a professional advocate. Your responsibilities will vary depending on the shift and the client needs with duties including:

  • Active Support – Helping residents master daily living skills like cooking, cleaning, and household management
  • Community Connection – Driving clients to appointments, volunteer work, or social outings across the Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains and Greater Sydney
  • Holistic Care – Providing respectful personal care, medication administration, and supporting residents with behaviours of concern using person-centred strategies
  • Professional Reporting – Using our internal systems to complete digital documentation, scanning, and handover notes

What We Are Looking For

We need dedicated, reliable and motivated professionals who bring a positive energy to our residents’ homes.

  • Flexible availability – Ideally able to work 4 shifts per week, including afternoons, overnights and at least one weekend shift when required
  • Previous experience in Disability or Aged Care is highly regarded
  • Strong written and verbal communication including accurate documentation skills
  • Computer literacy with the ability to pick up new systems with ease
  • A current NSW Driver’s Licence and the confidence to drive outside the Hawkesbury if required (such as the City or Blue Mountains)
  • Relevant TAFE qualifications are desirable

Required (or willingness to obtain):

  • NSW NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certification
  • Completion of our internal training modules as part of your induction
