About NACCHO 

The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) is the national peak body representing 148 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs). ACCHOs deliver comprehensive primary health care to more than half of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples nationally. 

  

About the Role 

The Project Officer, National Health Reform Agreement (NHRA) will provide project coordination, secretariat and reporting support to contribute to the effective operation of the Monitoring and Accountability Working Groups under the NHRA, in line with established objectives and governance requirements

The Monitoring and Accountability Working Groups span activities across the five‑year NHRA Addendum, supporting oversight, reporting and accountability arrangements for national health system reforms. The program team supports the delivery of timely, accurate and high‑quality secretariat and reporting functions, informed by an understanding of the intergovernmental policy environment and effective engagement with the Commonwealth, State and Territory governments and the ACCHO Sector.

 

Responsibilities of this role but not limited to: 

  • Coordinate meeting logistics, including venues, travel arrangements, catering, virtual platforms and participant communications.
  • Provide secretariat and administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and maintaining action registers.
  • Assist with the coordination and collation of workplans, performance reports and other deliverables.
  • Assist with stakeholder liaison by maintaining contact lists, distributing correspondence, responding to routine enquiries under guidance, and managing the central NHRA program email inbox.

You are a collaborative and driven individual who is committed to making a meaningful impact. You will bring: 

  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a similar organisation or role
  • is highly desirable.
  • A valid WWVP clearance and National Police check or ability to obtain.
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office
