About the role:

We’re looking for an experienced Work Health & Safety Manager to take full ownership of WHS across MYMC’s fast-paced manufacturing, warehouse and logistics operations.

This is a standalone role with the autonomy to shape and drive our WHS strategy, influence leaders and build a proactive safety culture where everyone takes ownership of creating a safer workplace.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Set the direction for WHS at MYMC, developing and delivering a safety strategy that supports our people, operations and continued growth.
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer and Senior Leadership Team as the trusted advisor on WHS risk, priorities and performance.
  • Own and evolve our WHS management system, aligned with ISO 45001 and NSW legislative requirements.
  • Lead the management of critical operational and psychosocial risks across our manufacturing, warehouse and logistics environments.
  • Drive incident investigations, audits and corrective actions, ensuring learnings translate into meaningful improvements.
  • Lead injury management, workers compensation and return-to-work, with a strong focus on early intervention and sustainable outcomes.
  • Strengthen WHS capability and consultation through leadership coaching, training, WHS Committee engagement and effective site practices.
  • Turn WHS data into clear insights and actions, providing meaningful reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
  • Champion a culture where safety is owned by everyone, influencing leaders and teams to continually raise the standard.

Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years’ WHS experience at senior or manager level within FMCG or food manufacturing.
  • A Diploma of Work Health & Safety or higher, with tertiary OHS qualifications highly regarded.
  • A proven track record of owning WHS strategy and delivering measurable improvements in safety performance.
  • Strong experience with ISO 45001-aligned systems, risk management, investigations, audits and continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of NSW WHS legislation, including physical and psychosocial risk management.
  • Experience across injury management, workers compensation and return-to-work, including complex cases.
  • The credibility to coach, challenge and influence at every level, backed by a practical, hands-on approach to safety.
  • Comfortable operating in a standalone role and being onsite five days a week, staying visible, connected and engaged with our operational teams.
