Pm Yard Driver/ Loader with MC license

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated PM Yard Driver/Loader with an HC license (MC Desired) to join our team in Keysborough, Victoria. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our transport and rail operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of service and safety, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently within the yard.
• Load and unload freight from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements and cargo handled.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise yard operations and improve efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on duty.

Qualifications:

• Valid MC (Multi Combination) license – Must Have.
• Valid FL (Forklift License) _ is a good-to-have
• Basic understanding of transport and logistics operations.
• Strong communication skills and We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Yard Driver/Loader to join our PM team at our Keysborough facility.

This is a hands-on role for a self-starter who can see what needs to be done and get on with the job. You’ll help keep the yard running safely and efficiently by moving, loading and unloading general and dangerous goods freight.

Your responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles and move freight around the facility
• Load and unload general and dangerous goods freight from trucks and containers
• Handle and store freight safely and correctly
• Complete routine vehicle inspections and report any faults
• Keep the yard clean, safe and organised
• Work with drivers and other team members to keep freight moving efficiently
• Follow all workplace safety and dangerous-goods handling procedures

What we’re looking for

• A current HC driver’s license is essential
• An MC driver’s license is preferred
• You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
• A motivated self-starter who takes ownership of their work
• A strong focus on safety and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• The ability to safely complete the manual handling required
• Previous yard, transport or dangerous-goods freight experience will be highly regarded
