We are seeking a highly experienced Paralegal or Legal Secretary to support our Wills & Estates and Litigation Lawyers. The ideal candidate will possess a friendly disposition, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. This is an opportunity to build your skills and make a significant impact in the administration and execution of estates and litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare documents for probate applications and estate administration

• Draft Wills, testamentary trust wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and Health Directives

• Liaise with executors, beneficiaries, and stakeholders to gather necessary information

• Prepare court documents for Grants of Probate in the Supreme Court

• Draft correspondence, forms, and legal documentation related to estates and estate planning

• Brief barristers for contested estate proceedings

• Conduct research and analysis to support estate administration

• Assist in distributing estate assets to beneficiaries

• Maintain accurate and organised client files and records

• Provide administrative support to the Wills & Estates team as required

• Manage diaries and emails efficiently

• Ensure accurate file management, including cost agreements and payment follow-ups

• Transcribe documents and correspondence from digital dictation

• Amend general legal and court documents, including deeds, affidavits, and writs

• Professionally liaise with clients via telephone and email

• Prepare monthly client billing invoices

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Secretary, ideally within a Wills & Estates practice

• Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)

• Experience with LEAP, and PEXA

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• A keen eye for detail and strong organisational abilities

• Professional, proactive, and confident approach to work and client relationships

• A positive, enthusiastic manner with a strong team ethic

• Excellent customer service skills, with a flexible and proactive approach
