General Hand or Seafood Production Assistant

Casual Positions | Flexible Hours | Above Award Wages Michael’s Seafood is a proud family-owned wholesale seafood distributor specialising in premium oyster processing and supplying fresh local fish and prawns from the Northern Rivers. Based in Alstonville, we service customers across the Northern Rivers region, the Gold Coast, and Brisbane. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as General Hands or Seafood Production Assistants. These casual positions offer flexible work hours and a welcoming, supportive work environment. ________________________________________ About the Role As a General Hand, your responsibilities may include: • Handling a variety of seafood • Maintaining OH&S standards and ensuring a clean, safe workspace • General labouring and facility support duties • Transporting and delivering goods (where required) • Packaging and preparing produce for distribution • Working Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm (flexible depending on role) • Receiving above-award wages ________________________________________ Our Ideal Candidate You will ideally bring: • Previous food handling or processing experience • A current driver’s licence and reliable transport • Experience within the seafood industry (advantageous but not essential) • A forklift licence (advantageous but not essential) • Consistent reliability and a willingness to work hard ________________________________________ Personal Attributes We’re looking for team members who demonstrate: • A strong work ethic • Integrity and reliability • Energy, enthusiasm, and commitment • A positive, respectful attitude • Proactive thinking and initiative • Attention to detail • A collaborative, team-focused approach ________________________________________ Why Join Michael’s Seafood?
