Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Member Relationship Consultant to join MIPS in Melbourne.

As a Member Relationship Consultant, you’ll be the first point of contact for healthcare professionals looking to join MIPS. Every conversation is an opportunity to build trust, understand our members’ unique needs and provide expert guidance that helps them make informed decisions about their professional protection.

Working as part of our Member Experience team, you’ll deliver a seamless and personalised experience from initial enquiry through to membership, while contributing valuable insights that help us continually improve how we support our members.

If you’re passionate about building relationships, enjoy working towards shared goals and thrive in a purpose-driven environment, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering exceptional service to prospective and existing members through phone, email and digital channels, providing quotes, membership advice and application support.
  • Building strong relationships with healthcare professionals by understanding their needs and recommending the most appropriate membership solutions.
  • Achieving agreed service levels and performance targets while maintaining accurate records within our CRM and member systems.
  • Collaborating with your team to identify opportunities to improve processes, member experience and operational efficiency.
  • Continuously developing your knowledge of MIPS products, the healthcare industry and medical indemnity to provide trusted advice to members.

About You

  • You have experience in customer service, relationship management, internal sales or member acquisition, with a genuine passion for helping people.
  • You’re a confident communicator who enjoys building rapport, influencing outcomes and delivering exceptional service.
  • You have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and are comfortable using CRM systems and digital technologies.
  • You’re proactive, resilient and motivated by achieving goals while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism.
  • Most importantly, you’re someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative team and is committed to making every member interaction a positive one.

At MIPS, you’ll do meaningful work that helps protect healthcare professionals so they can focus on caring for others. As a not-for-profit organisation, we offer broad exposure across functions, genuine influence, direct access to leaders and the opportunity to shape your own growth from day one.

We believe you are more than just your job title. Our flexible, hybrid approach empowers you to work your way, with flexibility that respects your life, not just your diary. Wellbeing is woven into the rhythm of work, creating an environment where you can own your work, grow your career and feel good while making a real difference.

What We Offer

  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements that support the way you work best.
  • One dedicated wellbeing leave day each year, in addition to your annual leave entitlements.
  • Additional purchased leave to help you create the work-life balance that suits you.
  • Paid volunteer leave so you can give back to your community.
  • Opportunities to work remotely from anywhere in Australia for up to two weeks each year.
  • Tailored career, leadership and talent development programs, plus access to Go1’s extensive library of online courses for personal and professional growth.
  • Education assistance to support further study aligned with your role and career aspirations.
  • Paid professional memberships and subscriptions.
  • A year-round wellbeing program beyond an EAP, including complimentary seated massages, annual flu vaccinations, health and skin checks and wellbeing events designed to support you.
  • Fresh fruit provided regularly in the office to keep you fuelled throughout the week.
  • Novated leasing options and discounted health insurance.
