As our International Channel Manager, you’ll lead the development and execution of our international channel strategy, working with agency and distribution partners to identify new commercial opportunities and routes to market. Reporting to our Head of Emerging Channels and Grocery, you’ll assess the viability of new routes to market, agency and distributor partnerships, lead expansion opportunities from proposal through to implementation, and strengthen existing agency and distributor relationships to drive sustainable sales and profitability.
What you’ll do
- Lead the development and implementation of McPherson’s international channel strategy, assessing new market and channel opportunities and driving internal alignment through to Executive sign-off.
- Work with agency partners and internal stakeholders to develop new routes to market with potential distributors, assessing commercial viability, risk and the level of support required.
- Partner with Regulatory, agency and distribution partners to develop portfolio and country viability assessments across international online and general trade channels.
- Project lead the expansion of new distribution channels, coordinating internal and external stakeholders from opportunity assessment through to launch.
- Own the commercial relationship with agency and distributor partners, supporting existing partnerships while identifying opportunities to accelerate sales.
- Assess the commercial viability of new distribution agreements and lead contract negotiations with new distributor and agency partners.
- Develop annual joint business plans with agency and distributor partners and identify opportunities across our existing portfolio and innovation pipeline.
- Lead annual budget planning and provide monthly reporting on international partner performance and year-to-go sales estimates.
- Lead the commercial aspects of the S&OP cycle, working cross-functionally to improve the flow of data and insights from agency and distributor partners.

- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to assess opportunities through a sales, profitability and risk lens.
- Demonstrated experience developing channel strategies, commercial plans and budgets, with experience in developing international channel strategies advantageous.
- Strategic thinking and planning capability, with the ability to turn opportunities into clear routes to market.
- Strong negotiation and value creation skills, including experience working with commercial agreements and external partners.
- A customer-centric approach and the ability to influence and align a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience managing third-party agencies, distributors or other commercial partners.
- Strong relationship management skills and the confidence to lead work streams across Sales, Marketing, Commercial Finance, Regulatory, Product Development, Insights, Supply & Demand Planning and external logistics partners.
