Matrix Education is now hiring Maths Teachers for Year 7 through to Year 10 to join us at our Box Hill campus on a casual basis. We’re currently recruiting for Friday classes, with the potential for further classes to open up in future.

• Casual | $63/hour + superannuation 
• Start Date – Immediate for training

This role is ideal for anyone who is a subject matter expert who can explain things clearly and is passionate about their area of expertise! Our team is a diverse group of high school teachers, corporate professionals, educational outreach staff, university teaching staff and post graduate university students. Classes commence at 4:30pm on weekdays or from 9:00am on weekends at our fabulous Box Hill campus.

You will have the opportunity to work with a fun and talented team in a great work environment. Minimal lesson preparation is required as lessons and resources are provided for you.

What you’ll do…

• Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term (all lesson materials and resources are prepared for you).
• Ongoing monitoring of student’s academic progress through marking of short weekly quizzes.
• Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.

What you’ll need…

• A genuine passion for teaching.
• Previous experience teaching Maths in a classroom setting.
• Completed their degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Postgraduate studies in the above listed disciplines will be highly regarded.
