Matrix Education is now hiring secondary English Teachers to join us at our Chatswood and Bella Vista campuses.

This role is ideal for anyone who is a subject matter expert who can explain things clearly and is passionate about their area of expertise! Our team is a diverse group of high school Teachers, corporate professionals, educational outreach staff, university teaching staff and post graduate university students.

Classes commence at 4:30pm on weekdays or from 9:00am on weekends at our fabulous campuses, all within 5-8 minutes walk from major railway (or Metro) stations!

You will have the opportunity to work with a fun and talented team in a great work environment. Minimal lesson preparation is required as lessons and resources are provided for you.

What you’ll do…

• Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term (all lesson materials and resources are prepared for you).
• Ongoing monitoring of student’s academic progress through marking of weekly homework.
• Act as a reporting line for a team of Senior Tutors

What you’ll need…

• A genuine passion for literature and teaching.
• A thorough knowledge of the current NESA curriculum in stage 4, 5 and 6 English.
• Previous experience teaching secondary English in a classroom setting.
• Completed tertiary qualifications in Education, Journalism, Media or Communications. Postgraduate qualifications are desirable but not necessary.
