The Role

We are looking for a reliable and passionate Commis Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team.

Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will play an integral role in daily meal preparation,

plated functions, and buffet service while ensuring exceptional food quality and kitchen

presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in preparing, cooking, and plating high-quality dishes for daily
• service and special events.
• Utilise Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to set up, dress buffets, and manage function
• prep.
• Maintain strict standards of kitchen cleanliness, food hygiene, cool room
• organization, and WHS compliance.
• Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing food deliveries correctly.
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen team and Food & Beverage Supervisor to ensure
• smooth service flow.

About You

• With 3–5 years of experience working in a commercial kitchen setting with strong
• knife skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to self-direct and manage required tasks without constant supervision.
• With Food Handlers and Safety Certification and Working with Children Check
• (WWCC).
• You are respectful of the Catholic ethos and the mission of the Sisters of Saint
• Joseph.
