Community Support Worker

Marna Care is currently seeking support workers in the Western Sydney area for multiple locations.

Summary:

The Community Support Worker will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals within the community. This position requires a compassionate and empathetic individual who can effectively communicate and build relationships with diverse populations. The Community Support Worker will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the well-being and integration of individuals into the community.

Responsibilities:

• Assist older people and people with a disability living independently in the community with activities relating to personal wellbeing, household management, and lifestyle, including:
• personal hygiene, grooming and presentation
• general household, cleaning and environmental maintenance tasks
• activities of interest in the home and local community
• activities related to the maintenance or improvement of health and wellbeing
• other reasonable requests made by the Client

Required:

• Resume
• Police Check
• NDIS Check
• NDIS Orientation Module
• WWCC
• 100 Points of ID – Passport, Driver’s License, Medicare etc
• Infection Control

Qualifications:

• Certificate III or Cert IV in Aged Care or Disability
• First Aid Certificate
• Proven experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities, mental health challenges, or other support needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in using technology and software for documentation and communication purposes.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
