About the opportunity

We’re looking for people who want to develop a career beyond the tools, stores, or operational roles. Through structured training and mentoring, you’ll gain experience in both Maintenance Planning and Planned Parts Coordination, building valuable skills that support mining operations and create long-term career opportunities.

What you will be Doing

You will work alongside experienced planners and materials specialists to develop skills across both disciplines.

Maintenance Planning Responsibilities

  • Developing job plans and work instructions
  • Creating and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules
  • Building equipment strategies and maintenance plans
  • Developing Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Supporting shutdown and weekly maintenance planning activities
  • Maintaining asset information within CMMS and ERP systems
  • Estimating labour hours, tooling requirements and resource needs
  • Coordinating work packs and maintenance documentation
  • Supporting reliability improvement initiatives

Planned Parts Responsibilities

  • Identifying maintenance parts requirements from work orders and job plans
  • Reviewing spare parts holdings and inventory levels
  • Assisting with procurement activities and vendor management
  • Supporting cataloguing and materials master data management
  • Developing planned parts kits for maintenance activities
  • Managing critical spares information
  • Coordinating parts availability for shutdowns and major maintenance events
  • Assisting with inventory optimisation initiatives
  • Working closely with maintenance, warehousing and procurement teams

 What we are looking for

  • Mount Isa resident or willing to relocate at own expense

Desirable

  • Experience working in mining, manufacturing, industrial, or heavy mobile equipment environments.
  • A trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Boilermaker, Diesel Fitter or similar) OR relevant maintenance experience.
  • Exposure to SAP, Pronto, Oracle, JDE, Ellipse, or similar systems.
  • Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, stores, warehousing, or procurement.
  • Knowledge of maintenance strategies and preventive maintenance concepts.
  • Familiarity with spare parts management principles.
