You do not need to already be a youth worker to have something valuable to bring.

You might currently work in:

• Warehousing or logistics
• Hospitality or retail
• Community services
• Disability or aged care
• Education or childcare
• Sport or recreation
• Security, corrections or another safety-focused environment
• Another role where people rely on you to be calm, responsible and consistent

What does a Care Practitioner actually do?

At MANAWISE, our Care Practitioners are the people who help make a house feel safe, predictable and hopeful for a young person.

That can mean sharing a meal. Helping with school or appointments. Going for a drive. Celebrating a win. Holding a boundary. Staying calm through a difficult moment.

And sometimes, it simply means being the adult who keeps showing up.

You’ll work as part of a team to:

• Build safe, respectful relationships with young people
• Support everyday routines, activities and life skills
• Create consistency, structure and a sense of belonging
• Maintain professional boundaries and safe practice
• Complete accurate documentation and handovers
• Work alongside your team to support positive outcomes for each young person
