TRADE ASSISTANT – HAND BUILD

Position Summary

Join a manufacturing site as a key member working on precision work to install, repair & replace rubber & rubber components.

General Functions and Tasks

• Conduct all hand build operations including:

o Manufacturing hand build products

o Trimming/cutting/gluing/sealing/assembling or wrapping

o Operate autoclave to cure products.

o Book completed samples into metrology

o Dispatch completed product to warehouse

Skills & Attributes

• Work effectively individually as part of a team

• Ability to work unsupervised

• Ability to ready engineering drawings

• Forklift licence

• Basic computer skills

• Use precision measuring instruments

• Able to work form complex instructions and procedures

• Able to use of hand tools & power tools

• Be willing to learn, cross train in other workshop areas to develop knowledge, skills and to accommodate workload

• Must be fit and committed to having a go

• Dedication to producing quality workmanship

Eligibility

• Applicant must be willing to undergo a National Police Clearance

• Applicants must be willing to undergo a Medical

• Applicant will need to be able to be approved for a Defence & Security Clearance sponsored by Mackay.
