NDIS Support Worker

Summary:

Macarthur Connect is seeking a Casual NDIS Support Worker in Miranda/Sutherland areas. This on-site role is essential for providing home and community support to clients with mental health needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting independence and community participation, ensuring that our clients receive the emotional support they require. Responsibilities:

• Provide support to client in his home and community settings.
• Assist client in developing and maintaining independence and life skills.
• Provide transportation for his dogs to the vet (when needed)
• Facilitate community participation and social inclusion for clients.
• Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to clients.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and support provided.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with NDIS clients, particularly those with mental health needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient approach to client care.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
