About the Role
The CFO will provide high-level financial leadership, overseeing all financial operations and ensuring alignment with our strategic goals. Reporting to the Director and General Manager, the CFO will collaborate with senior leadership to deliver actionable insights, robust governance, and innovative strategies to support business growth and operational excellence. This role demands a commitment to continuous improvement, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage up and down effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies to support long-term growth, including budgeting, forecasting, and advanced financial modelling. Provide expert advice to senior leadership and external stakeholders to optimize profitability and mitigate risks.

Operational Financial Oversight: Oversee the finance team, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and streamlined processes. Implement robust internal controls and leverage technology to enhance efficiency.

Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Additional Responsibilities: Act as a key advisor on strategic matters, monitor industry trends, and lead the evaluation of financial systems to support operational excellence.
About You
We’re looking for a proactive financial leader with:
- Proven expertise in financial strategy, planning, and analysis in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- A CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent) and extensive experience in a senior financial role.
- Knowledge of agribusiness or primary industries (desirable but not essential).
- A passion for rural living and contributing to a thriving regional community.
