Description

We’re looking for a proactive, relationship-driven Contractor Manager to support our growing contractor network across NSW and ACT. This is a hands-on role where you’ll get out from behind the desk, connect directly with contractors, visit sites and help drive strong safety, compliance and performance outcomes.

Working closely with our Senior Contractor Manager, you’ll be a key point of contact for contractors, building trusted partnerships, identifying issues early and working with stakeholders to see solutions through to resolution.

If you’re organised, confident with people and enjoy making things happen, this is a great opportunity to build your career while contributing to Australia’s clean energy transition.

In this role you will:

  • Build strong relationships with our contractor network across NSW and ACT
  • Get out in the field for regular site visits, meetings and contractor engagement
  • Be a trusted point of contact for contractor questions, challenges and operational support
  • Lead performance conversations and work with contractors to drive positive outcomes
  • Champion safe work practices and a proactive safety culture
  • Identify issues early and collaborate with the right people to find practical solutions
  • Support contractor onboarding, compliance and ongoing business requirements
  • Follow actions through to resolution and keep contractors and stakeholders informed
  • Look for opportunities to continuously improve contractor performance, engagement and processes

What you will bring:

  • You’re a natural relationship builder who enjoys working directly with contractors and getting out into the field
  • You’re confident having performance, safety and compliance conversations and can build trust while maintaining clear expectations
  • You’re proactive and practical, with a knack for spotting issues early and finding workable solutions
  • You’re organised, accountable and great at following actions through to completion
  • You communicate clearly and can work effectively with contractors, customers and internal stakeholders
  • You understand the importance of safety, compliance and quality in a contractor environment
  • Previous contractor management or field-based experience is highly regarded
  • Experience in energy, electrification, construction, trades or government energy schemes would be a bonus

What we offer:

  • At MAC, we care about our people and the impact of the work we do. We create an environment where people are trusted, supported and encouraged to do their best work. We offer:
  • Flexible working arrangements that recognise different life stages and responsibilities
  • Above-industry standard parental, personal and wellbeing leave
  • A staff financial incentive scheme that recognises contribution and performance
  • An Employee Assistance Program for staff and their families
  • A values-driven, award-winning workplace
  • A supportive and inclusive culture where leaders are approachable and ideas are welcomed
  • Purpose-driven work where your role directly contributes to Australia’s clean energy transition.
