Schwarz Excavations is seeking experienced Hi-Rail Operators to join our team and contribute to major civil, rail, and infrastructure projects across Queensland. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with specialized rail and earthmoving equipment, ensuring safe and efficient project delivery.

About the role:

• Assist with maintenance of rail track infrastructure
• Operate hi-rail vehicles in compliance with network-specific standards and operational procedures.
• Follow all site, client and Schwarz safety policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure safe operations
• Support a safety-first culture through proactive participation
• Accurately complete required paperwork and reports

Skills and experience:

• RIW
• Unit TLIC3045 Operate Road/rail vehicle
• Construction Induction (White Card)
• C Class Driver’s Licence
• Ability to pass a CAT 1 Rail Medical Assessment
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
• Strong commitment to safety and working as part of a team
• Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure (desirable)
