Delivery Driver

Summary:

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, accurate and timely delivery of building supplies to Astley’s customers across Dubbo and surrounding areas. The role supports daily warehouse and yard operations and provides professional customer service at each delivery point. This is an active, hands-on position suited to a person who shows initiative, contributes positively within a team and can also work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Complete scheduled deliveries of building materials safely, accurately and on time.
• Check delivery documentation, customer details, products and quantities before departure and obtain proof of delivery.
• Load, secure, transport and unload products in accordance with safe work practices, load-restraint requirements and site conditions.
• Complete pre-start vehicle inspections and promptly report defects, incidents, hazards, delays or delivery issues.

Qualifications:

• Current driver licence appropriate for the vehicle operated and a safe driving record.
• Previous delivery-driving, warehouse, yard or building-supplies experience is desirable.
• Forklift licence is desirable, or willingness to obtain one.
• Physically capable of completing regular manual handling and active duties safely.
