Due to continued growth and increasing demand from clients whose preferred language is Mandarin, we are seeking an experienced Mandarin-speaking Personal Injury Lawyer to join our Melbourne office. This is an excellent opportunity to build your own practice while working with a supportive team that values collaboration, professional development and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.

 

Role Overview

You will manage a varied plaintiff personal injury practice including:

  • WorkCover claims
  • TAC claims
  • Public Liability claims
  • Medical Negligence matters
  • Historical Abuse claims (desirable)

You will work closely with our dedicated legal assistants and national intake team, allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding legal outcomes for your clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

You build and grow your own personal injury practice while working alongside an experienced and supportive legal team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a broad range of personal injury matters from commencement through to resolution.
  • Conducting client interviews and maintaining regular communication throughout the life of each matter.
  • Preparing legal documents, correspondence and court-related material.
  • Negotiating settlements with insurers and opposing parties.
  • Working collaboratively with counsel, medical experts and other professionals.
  • Delivering an exceptional client experience while maintaining high professional standards.

 

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Admission to practise as an Australian Lawyer.
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-admission experience in plaintiff personal injury law.
  • Fluent written and spoken Mandarin and English, required due to the volume of Mandarin-language enquiries received by this office.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to manage files independently from commencement through to resolution.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A compassionate, client-focused approach.
