This role will work closely with experienced family law practitioners who are dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients navigating complex and often sensitive family law matters. Our Family Law team acts for individuals across a broad range of matters, including parenting disputes, property settlements, divorce proceedings, financial agreements, and family violence matters.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Family Lawyer (3–5 years PAE) to join our team. This role is ideally suited to a lawyer who is confident managing family law matters with a high degree of autonomy while working within a supportive and collaborative team environment. You will have carriage of your own files, regular client contact, and the opportunity to further develop your advocacy, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills.

You will be exposed to a diverse range of family law matters and play a key role in delivering exceptional service and outcomes for our clients.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years’ post-admission experience in Family Law
  • Current NSW Practising Certificate
  • Demonstrated ability to manage family law matters independently from commencement to resolution
  • Experience attending mediations, Family Dispute Resolution conferences, settlement conferences, and court appearances
  • Strong legal drafting, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong client-service focus
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality legal services
  • Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
  • Chinese language skills will be highly regarded due to the volume of Chinese speaking clients who engage our service
