Headquartered in Christchurch, New Zealand, with our Australian sales and support office based in Brisbane, Link designs and manufactures industry-leading engine management systems that are exported to more than 1,500 dealers across 80+ countries.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Production Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in assembling, testing and preparing our electronic products for customers around the world. This is a hands-on role working with PCB assemblies, wiring and product builds, ensuring everything leaving Link meets our high standards.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who has some exposure to electronics manufacturing — or a strong interest in it — and is keen to learn, grow and build their technical capability.

Key Responsibilities

Electronics Assembly & Testing

  • Assemble electronic products including PCB assemblies, wiring and enclosures
  • Follow detailed work instructions, BOMs and product revisions
  • Test products and subassemblies to ensure quality and functionality

Production & Quality

  • Prepare products for packaging and dispatch
  • Complete quality checks and maintain high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Support stocktakes and general production tasks

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify issues and suggest improvements to processes or builds
  • Work with Engineering and the wider team to improve product manufacturability
  • Take ownership of your work and contribute to a high-performing team

About you

You are someone who enjoys working with your hands, solving problems and being part of a team that builds quality products.  You don’t need to know everything — but you bring curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn.

You will bring:

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, assembly or similar (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
  • Comfortable using test procedures, test jigs, and recording results accurately
  • A practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
  • Confidence to take initiative and look for ways to improve how things are done
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capable of learning new product builds quickly and adapting as products evolve
  • A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to muck in
  • Soldering or testing experience is a bonus, but not essential — we can train the right person.

Our Culture

If you join the Link you will enjoy a fast-paced environment in a global organisation, exciting challenges, and a variety of tasks. We have an ‘informal but serious’ work ethic and pride ourselves on putting our people first.

You’ll be part of a supportive global team who are passionate about motorsport, technology and delivering world-class products to our customers.

We offer ongoing development, comprehensive health insurance, wellbeing initiatives and regular team events — plus a few morning teas along the way. We celebrate wins, back each other, and genuinely care about our people.
