Roles & Responsibilities:

Legal Secretary works within a team, liaises with internal and external stakeholders. They support the team members with a wide variety of administrative functions including but not limited to:

  • Drafting correspondences, generating precedent letters
  • Scheduling appointments and diary management
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • General administrative duties, copying, scanning, sending and saving incoming correspondences and maintaining paper and electronic files
  • Identifying legal matters and recognising legal documents
  • Responsible for responding to calls and emails (inbound and outbound)
  • Working with the team to action daily operational tasks
  • Actively assisting the team to ensure efficient work practices are maintained

Core Competencies:

  • Highly organised and able to maintain high quality work with a strong attention to detail.
  • Sound typing and document drafting skills
  • Word processing and data entry skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office suite
  • Diary management and ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task with accuracy during busy times
  • Highly motivated and effective communication skills including excellent phone etiquette.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a legal secretary/assistant or a similar role
