Summary
As a Disability Support Worker in Denistone West, you will play a vital role in supporting a client with complex care needs to live safely, comfortably, and as independently as possible. This casual position is ideal for an experienced and compassionate support worker who is confident delivering personal care and high-intensity supports while promoting the client’s dignity, wellbeing, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support in accordance with the client’s care plan.
- Assist with Manual Handling and safe transfer techniques.
- Provide support with Medication Administration.
- Assist with Bowel Care and Catheter Care.
- Support a client living with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Spinal Cord Injury (SCI).
- Assist with personal care activities and daily living tasks.
- Drive the client’s van for appointments, community access, and social participation activities.
- Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, wellbeing, or support needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
- Work collaboratively with the client’s family, healthcare professionals, and the broader support team.
Essential Requirements
- Experience supporting participants with high-care needs.

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing, or equivalent)
- Certificate III in Disability
- Diploma in Community Services or related qualification
- Previous experience in Disability Support, Supported Independent Living (SIL), or In-Home Care (IHC)
- Experience supporting clients with complex medical needs
