Role Type
Description
For a child experiencing difficulties at school, being understood is only the beginning. What happens next matters: the support they receive, the confidence they build and the people around them working together. At Learning Links, you will have a genuine opportunity to influence and lead a team of 6 to 8 registered and provisional psychologists, keep your own clinical practice and help turn that understanding into practical support for children and families.
A shared focus on children’s learning
For more than 50 years, Learning Links has supported children with learning difficulties. Our work brings together psychology, speech pathology and education, in partnership with families and schools.
Based at Alexandria, you and your team will work in our clinic, in schools and online with children from 3 years to their teens, and their families. The work is varied, spanning specific learning disorders, autism, ADHD, global developmental delay, emotional and social wellbeing, and family support.
Shape how the psychology service operates, working with the Head of Allied Health and Operations and Principal Psychologist to strengthen clinical practice, workforce capability and service delivery. You’ll lead the people and day-to-day performance of the psychology team, while partnering with our Principal Psychologist on clinical standards, supervision and practice development.
A team you can know and develop
- Develop your team through coaching, case discussions, induction and constructive feedback.
- Stay clinically active, maintain a 40% caseload delivering assessments and interventions within your scope of practice.
- Support consistent care, with sound clinical judgement, timely reports and clear communication with families and schools.
- Help the service work well, collaborating on caseloads and service delivery, setting clear expectations and addressing concerns early.
- Innovate with other allied health professionals, collaborating across psychology, speech pathology and education to develop new programs, assessment pathways and resources for children and families.
What you will bring
