Description
Production Hand – Weigh Up & Blending Lane’s BBQ | Full Time | Monday–Friday
Do you love BBQ? This could be the career for you!
Our Story We’re a young, fast-growing business with a very bright future. We make seasonings, sauces and BBQ products that sell throughout Australia into BBQ stores, butchers and independent supermarkets. We don’t just make the best products on the market, we live and breathe them. We cook BBQ every week here at Lane’s BBQ HQ. If that sounds like your kind of place, read on. We need a weigh-up legend to help us keep growing.
The Role You’ll be the engine room of our production team. Most of your day will be spent weighing up ingredients to recipe specifications and blending them into our finished seasonings and sauces. Every product that leaves our building starts with an accurate weigh-up, so precision and consistency matter.
You’ll report to the Production Team Leader. You’ll also be trained across all production areas, so you can step into packaging, filling and other parts of the operation when the team needs you.
This is a physical role. You’ll regularly lift and handle 20–25kg ingredient bags throughout the day, so you need to be comfortable with repetitive manual handling.
What your day looks like
- Weigh up (your main focus): Accurately weigh ingredients to recipe specifications, batch by batch
- Blending: Operate mixing and blending equipment to produce our seasonings and sauces
- Material handling: Lift, move and open 20–25kg bags of raw ingredients and keep the weigh-up area stocked
- Batch records: Record weights, batch numbers and lot codes for traceability
- Quality control: Check ingredients and finished blends so they meet food safety standards and our specs
- Supporting other areas: Help with filling, labelling, packaging and dispatch as needed
- Cleaning: Keep equipment and production areas clean and safe, and support allergen changeovers
- Compliance: Follow food safety rules, company policies and procedures
