Team Leader Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)

Lady Gowrie is seeking Team Leaders to join our Brighton, Rosetta and Lansdowne Outside School Hours Care Services.

Lady Gowrie Tasmania is a not-for-profit community-based organisation providing Education and Care to children from birth to 12 years of age.

The roles:

• Education and Care Practitioner role with Team Leader Allowance
• Part time, minimum 15 hours per week
• After School Care Hours (in Brighton, Rosetta and Lansdowne

Role responsibilities:

• Create fun and engaging leisure activities that are age appropriate, in line with individual interests and inline with LGT Programming
• Ensure health and safety of children and Educators
• Lead small team of Educators day to day and ensure supervision requirements are met
• Interact with and supervise children
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with children, families, school and staff
• Ensure mandatory reporting obligations are met and regular documentation is undertaken
• Take on Responsible Person responsibilities

Skills and experience:

• In Safe Hands – Child Safety (or ability to obtain)
• Department for Education, Children and Young People – Compulsory Safeguarding Training for Workers (or ability to obtain)
• Food Safety (or ability to obtain)
• Allergy Aware (or ability to obtain)
• First Aid (desirable)
• Qualification in Early Education and Care (desirable)
• Tasmanian Registration Working with Vulnerable People
• Full Car Drivers Licence
