About the Role
Reporting to the Head of WHS, you’ll play a key role in supporting our operational teams to maintain the highest standards of workplace health and safety.
Based in Welshpool, and working closely with our specialised LNG/LPG transport operation, you’ll provide practical safety leadership, ensuring that our people have the support, guidance and training they need to perform their roles safely, and helping us to meet and exceed the safety expectations of our customers.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be visible across operations, building trust with our people and helping embed a strong safety culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify hazards within operational work areas and communicate risks and control measures with operational teams.
- Promote industry best-practice safety through coaching, support and transparent communication.
- Investigate incidents, hazards and near misses, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Conduct customer compliance inspections and consultations.
- Assist in the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the HSEQ Management System, including risk assessments and procedures.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Champion the KTrans Pillars of Discipline ~ Loyalty ~ Accountability ~ Honesty ~ Pride.
About You
You’re a proactive safety professional who enjoys being visible in the field, building strong relationships, and finding practical solutions that keep people safe.
To be Successful in this Role, You’ll Have:
- Minimum Certificate IV qualification in Workplace Health and Safety.
- Trainer & Assessor qualification (highly regarded but not essential).
- Experience working with the transport of bulk dangerous goods.
- Strong incident investigation and risk management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a wider team.
- A genuine passion for continuous improvement and workplace safety.
