As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Bulk Operations Supervisor to join our team in driving the success of our Bulk Operations division.

About the Role

Based in Welshpool, you’ll play a key role in our Bulk Operations division, overseeing day-to-day operations and leading a team of professional drivers.

You’ll work closely with drivers, customers and internal stakeholders to keep our operation moving safely, efficiently and reliably.

This is a hands-on frontline leadership role where no two days are the same. You’ll be making decisions, solving problems, supporting your team and finding better ways to get the job done.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and inspire a team of drivers, building a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.
  • Coordinate daily operations, including the allocation of trucks, trailers and drivers to meet customer requirements.
  • Plan and manage routes, dispatching, tracking and monitoring vehicles throughout the day.
  • Drive operational efficiency, identifying opportunities to improve performance, control costs and support revenue growth.
  • Keep the fleet moving, ensuring vehicles and equipment are available and scheduled to meet operational demands.
  • Plan ahead, coordinating and forecasting servicing, repairs and maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Build great people, supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development.
  • Champion safety, ensuring safe work practices are understood, followed and actively promoted across the team.
  • Investigate and improve, contributing to incident, damage and safety investigations and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Solve problems and get results, working collaboratively with internal teams to overcome operational challenges.

 

About You

You’re an experienced transport professional and people leader who likes being close to the action and making things happen.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience supervising or leading teams within the transport and logistics industry.
  • A strong understanding of bulk transport operations.
  • The ability to effectively plan and coordinate trucks, trailers and drivers.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • A sound understanding of AMMS and PBS network requirements.
  • A strong safety mindset and commitment to safe work practices.
  • Experience supporting the recruitment, training and development of team members.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving operational environment.
