Description

POSITION PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that marking responsibilities are managed consistently, fairly and efficiently across the KKTC Training team, regardless of whether staff are working from home or in the office. This policy supports student progression while maintaining equitable workloads, accountability and quality outcomes.

Hybrid work arrangements should not impact the level of service provided to students or the achievement of team KPIs. Clear expectations around marking support are considered best practice in hybrid work arrangements to ensure consistency and accountability

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Professional Development

Undertake Professional development and maintain industry currency

• Keep Trainer Matrix document updated and ensure compliance is provided an updated copy at no longer than 6-month intervals.

• Complete your qual upgrade / RPL within agreed timelines.

• Attend any KKTC provided PD sessions

• Maintain HLTAID012 and HLTAID00

Assessment Marking

• Mark assessments in chronological order, ensuring the oldest submissions are completed first.

• Apply assessor guides and marking guides consistently to support valid and reliable assessment decisions.

• Provide meaningful, constructive feedback to students that supports learning and progression.

• Complete all assessment records accurately, including assessor comments and sign-off requirements.

• Notify the assigned trainer when a fourth or subsequent assessment attempt is required.

Hybrid Work Responsibilities

• Allocate consistent weekly marking support days in consultation with the General Manager or Team Leader.

• Dedicate 100% of allocated marking support hours to marking support duties.

• Remain logged into the designated Cloud Assess marking support account throughout allocated marking periods.

• Comply with the KKTC Remote and Hybrid Work Policy, including Hubstaff requirements where applicable.

• Ensure personal trainer marking is completed separately and is not included within marking support KPI reporting.

Quality Assurance

• Ensure assessment decisions comply with the Standards for RTOs and KKTC assessment requirements.

• Maintain accurate assessment records and sufficient evidence to support competency decisions.

• Contribute to moderation and continuous improvement activities.

• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of student records.

Team Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with trainers, administration staff and other marking support team members.

• Support multiple trainer cohorts through the multi-trainer marking model.

• Avoid direct prioritisation of individual trainer requests unless approved through the designated escalation process.

• Assist in maintaining equitable assessment turnaround times across the organisation

Productivity and Performance

• Achieve the daily marking KPI of 24 assessments per allocated marking day.

• Meet weekly and monthly productivity targets based on rostered hours.

• Maintain assessment quality while meeting agreed turnaround timeframes.

• Participate in performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
