Kinross is looking for a practical, proactive and mechanically-minded Property Maintenance & Handyperson to keep our beautiful location running smoothly and looking its best. If you love variety, problem-solving, and working outdoors in a stunning environment, this is the role for you!

Hours: Permanent full-time position, minimum of 30hours per week, $30-$34 per hour depending on experience.

Location: Gibbston

About the Role:

This role will be the go-to-person for keeping Kinross in top shape. From maintaining appliances and electrical systems to landscaping and general repairs, your work ensures our guests enjoy a seamless and beautiful experience. You’ll work closely with the Owner and CFO, troubleshoot issues, coordinate contractors, and help maintain key systems like water and wastewater. This is a hands-on, varied role in a stunning vineyard setting. Perfect for someone practical, proactive, and passionate about property care.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Appliance & Electrical Maintenance – troubleshooting and fixing lights, pumps, plumbing, and more
• General Property Repairs – painting, fixing furniture, maintaining buildings and facilities
• Landscaping & Groundskeeping – mowing, gardening, spraying, and keeping the grounds pristine
• System Support – assisting with water, wastewater, and power systems
• Guest Interaction – being a friendly face around the property and supporting our team culture

You’ll work closely with our Owner and all teams, and coordinate with contracts when needed.

You’ll Bring:

• A practical, can-do attitude and mechanical aptitude
• Experience in property maintenance, gardening, and basic electrical/plumbing repairs
• Ability to operate tools, tractors, and garden equipment safely
• Flexibility for weekend work and emergency callouts
• Great communication and teamwork across departments

Current clean Driver’s Licence is essential
