Shoalhaven River College is seeking Expressions of Interest from qualified and passionate educators interested in joining our Casual Teaching Pool.

About the Opportunity

As a member of our Casual Teaching Pool, you may be considered for short-term and ongoing casual teaching opportunities across a range of subject areas and year levels. Casual teachers play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning while contributing positively to the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a variety of subjects and year levels
• Support student learning and wellbeing in line with school expectations
• Assess and monitor student progress where required.
• Maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leaders to support student outcomes.
• Uphold all school policies and professional standards.

About you

To be considered for the Casual Teaching Pool, you will possess:

• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Education or equivalent)
• Current NESA accreditation and approval to teach
• A current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Experience teaching in a classroom environment
• The ability to adapt to different classroom environments and student needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to student wellbeing and academic achievement
